This policy explains what Pagedrop collects, why, and your choices. We aim to collect as little as possible.
1. What we collect
- Content you upload. The files you publish, stored so we can serve them at your link.
- Account data (optional). If you create an account, your email address and plan. We sign in with a magic link — we do not store passwords for accounts.
- Site passwords. If you password-protect a site, only a salted hash of the password is stored, never the password itself.
- Operational logs and metrics. Coarse request data (such as page-view counts, country, referrer, and IP-derived rate-limit counters) used to run, secure, and bill the service and to deter abuse.
- Billing data. Handled by our payment processor. We store a customer/subscription reference, not your card number.
2. How we use it
To provide and operate the service, serve your content, prevent abuse and fraud, enforce limits, process payments, and comply with the law. We do not sell your personal data.
3. Cookies
We use a small number of strictly functional cookies: a session cookie if you sign in, and a per-site cookie to remember that you unlocked a password-protected site. We do not use advertising cookies.
4. Sharing
We share data only with infrastructure and payment providers that help us run the service, and where required by law or to respond to valid legal process or abuse/DMCA reports.
5. Retention
Uploaded content is kept while your site is live; free sites are removed after a period of inactivity, and you can delete a site at any time with its manage token or from your dashboard. Account and billing records are kept as long as needed for the service and legal obligations.
6. Your choices
You can delete your sites at any time. To request deletion of your account data, contact us using the details below. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data.
7. Children
Pagedrop is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data.
